I will be traveling to Milan next week. We may plan a day in Venice but I have heard it can be flooded this time of year. I think it is also supposed to rain all next week. Is anyone in the area right now that can give me advice about if we should go or not??

Thanks!!!!!!

  1. I live close to milan, right now it's around 15° C during the day, we had some light showers, not much....i didn't hear about any water in venice...you can go, don't miss the wonderful city...

  2. It' s probabily that in some hours ( 1 or 2 a day ) in some day of year ( 5 or 6 days). But there are some walking way for turists.  Don't worry came to visit.

  3. Weather currently fog with 13C

Forecast for rain all next week, with temp 14-16C

  4. I've just got back from Venice and they've not had much rain. The temporary walkways that they use in case of flooding are stacked in the streets but as yet they are not being used. I would go and not worry about it. You can check their tourist information site and the Italian regional weather reports before you set out anyway.

  5. Go, but spend two days in Venice,  One visiting San Marco and the surrounding neighborhood.  Go up the campanile and see Venice from the top of the bell tower. Have a drink along the Grand Canal.  Eat some gelati and have dinner at a tratoria. Stay at the Residenza Laguna at 1016 San Polo district. Then next day walk to San Sebastian vaporito stop take #1 to the vaporito #5 to Murano Island and see the glass works.  You'll be back on the train by afternoon.

  6. Venice floods all times of the year.  Go and enjoy.  It may be cold, but don't miss it just because of weather!  They put up elevated platforms if it is flooded so you can still get around.
