Venice to Rome...?

Question

whats the distance from Venice to Rome? Roughly how many hours and what method of transport do you suggest?

Is their buses running from Venice to Rome on a daily basis and where do i catch this bus from and how much will it cost.

I dont want to fly as i would like to enjoy the scenary on my trip.

P.s also can you guys help me with a few words i might need when in italy, like hello, how are you, thankyou, just the basic stuff that i might need. And any pointers for a first time travellor to Italy.

definitely you should take the train, preferably an ES (Eurostar) which is actually the most expensive one but also the cleanest and less noisy one.

TRAIN!! In Italy you pay for the distance you travel, so its actually relativly cheap to go by train and its a good day's journey eg 7 hours.

I guess just hello (Hi is used by Italians too however!), thankyou, prego (verstile word...look it up)

Take the Eurostar from Venice to Rome.  If you are travelling with others I would suggest that you buy your tickets a day in advance if you want to sit together.  

I think the words you will need the most are Ciao, pronunciation Chow for hello/goodbye.  Grazie pronounced gratziay for thank you.  I used them a lot.

The train is good and cheap. I think it is appr. 9 hour train ride from Venice to Rome!

train is the best way to arrive in Rome from Venice.

The Eurostar (the fastest train in Italy) takes more or less 5 hours from Venice to Rome. The cost is about: 50,00euro=66,00 $.

the best way to go in rome is by train.. in fact in 7 hours you can arrive in rome. i don't know if from venice there are buses, but the travell in bus during so much also 8-12 hours.

in italian: hello =ciao how are you?=come stai? thank you=grazie sorry, how can I arrive in (name the place)= scusi come posso arrivare a..  right=destra left=sinistra my name is..=mi chiamo...

Ozzy, I will be in Milan on Sunday morning and planning to go to Venice on Monday. Stay in touch :)

Once I went to Rome from Venice by plane and it took around an hour. But I agree with the first answerer on the train system. It is a kind of slow but great.
