Ventriloquist dummy?

Question

Okay well, ive allllways wanted a ventriloquist dummy but i never new where to find one, so i was wondering, does anyone know where/what kind of store would sell them or a good website that sells them. I want to get one that also moves its eyes, im reeeally picky with the eyes moving :S if its eyes cant move i dont want it (geeze i sound rude, sorry :S )

oh and the highest i can spend is 1000$ i think :S, but something a lot lower would be perfect! =]

$1000 can get you a good, used one.  

There are some on ebay right now for under $1000.  Clinton Detweiller has one on there right now and he does a really good job with his figures.  There's not as big of a selection at this moment, but keep an eye out there.

I would highly recommend a new one from Kem Poyner.  He has a fantastic reputation in the business and his prices are very reasonable.  He can be contacted through his web site:

You may have to cough up an extra $100-200 for exactly what you want, but it will be worth saving that little bit up and getting one of his figures than taking a shot in the dark on ebay and hoping you get a good one, without really knowing the figure makers.

A final option is to visit the vent haven ventriloquist convention in July in Ft. Mitchell and choosing one from there.  It's always good to really have a figure in your hand to see if you would like it and can make a personality for it.
