When Serena Williams began celebrating their successful defence of the Australian Open doubles title in 2010, sister Venus was a little confused at the reaction, believing they’d broken for 5-2 and not for the match. We take up the story with Venus’ explanation in the press conference:
“Well, yeah, I thought, She's really happy about this break. (Laughter.) I thought, Wow, I've never seen her this happy. But I'll go with it,” Venus said.
“I really don't know how I lost track. So I was confused, but I guess that's just focus.”
