Venus Williams will take on Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarter-finals of the 2010 Dubai Tennis Championships. The pair met here in the second round last year, and Venus won on her way to the title. Will she win this one too?

She should. Venus was in top form against Sabine Lisicki in the first round – the German was playing well but Venus was brilliant – and she ultimately put Olga Govortsova away easily in the second set of their third round match. Pavlyuchenkova is one of the more promising teens on the WTA tour, but she’s not up to Venus’ standard yet.
