Venus vs. Serena. Who will prevail in the quarterfinals?

Both are playing extremely well, but I would like to know who you think will prevail.

Also, do you believe that whoever wins will win the tournament?

It is such a shame they have to meet in the quarters because they are both playing inbelievable tennis. I am going to go with Venus.

I think yes seeing how well they are both playing, But Dementieva and Safina are the form players and I'd really love to see Dementieva get the Grand Slam she deserves.

I always root for Venus to win when the sisters play so tomorrow wil be no different.  Venus needs to tie Serena with eight majors.  I don't see anyone else seriously challenging the winner of this quarter except Dementiava possibly.

It's really unfortunate of them to meet so early in the tournament. Both of them deserve to be in the finals. I don't see any other female players playing as well as the Williams sisters at this point of the tournament. I definitely believe that whoever wins this quarterfinals match will win the tournament. Somehow I think this person is Venus. She is playing slightly better than Serena at the moment despite also having to face higher-ranked players.

Serena this time.  She will also win the US Open again.  Venus won Wimbledon but Serena is hungry for the number one position.  It's ashame they have to meet this early because they are both playing exceptionally well.  Nobody else can match them on the women's side.  They are the best.

I'm guessing Serena because she might be more motivated to beat her sister this time around after losing the Wimbledon final to Venus. Their head-to-head is 8-all and they are 1-all in 2008 matches. Another factor in Serena's favor is that her win this year came on hard.

You can never count the Williams sisters out so whoever win will be a favorite along with Dementieva and Safina. They have more experience and that may be crucial at the end of the day.

i think Venus is looking better and more "UNSTOPABLE" Serena will lose to her..

i am not sure if i think Venus is going win the whole event.... watch out for Elena Demeteva or Dinare Safina.. both of them have the capablity to trouble venus willams if they play there A game...

Hopefully, Serena.  Not because I want her to win, but because if Venus (my heart) wins,  then she will feel soooo guilty because Serena didn't;  that Venus will falter in the semis and lose.  Whereas if Serena wins, she will be so overjoyed that she may carry it on through to a win in the finals.

Yeah I have to agree its shame they meet so early. I think Venus again (big sister thing  i guess^^). And yes I do think whoever win the match will win the tournament also, not one of the other girls can compete with them.
