  1. 1 6/(r+8)

    6=8-m

    The quotient of two numbers equals the result of subtracting the first number from the second.

  2. Close on the first one.  You need parenthesis.

    1. 6/(r+8)

    2. 6/(8m)

  3. 1 is 6/(r+8) coz division is by the sum

  4. 1. 6 is divided by the sum of r and 8 - - - - -> 6/(r+8)

    2. the quotient of 6 and the product of 8 and m- - - - >either 6/(8m) -or- (8m)/6

    . [ a quotient is the result of a division. For example, when dividing 6 by 3,

    the quotient is 2 ]

    1. 6/r+8 - - - >This is the same as (6/r)+8 [ The sum of 6 divided by r, plus 8 ]. You want 6/(r+8) [ 6 divided by the sum of r and 8 ].

    2. 6*8/m No! [ if it says 'quotient', think division. If it says 'product', think multiplication. ]

    Note: The guy above me who says 'Quotient' is from subtraction is wrong.
