Verdasco the nearly man – again

Rewind to the 2009 Australian Open, and Fernando Verdasco was one half of the match of the tournament in that marathon semi-final against Rafael Nadal. Skip ahead 12 months to 2010, and Verdasco was again dumped out of the tournament in a five set match – this time in the fourth round against Nikolay Davydenko. It begs the question as to whether the Spaniard really does have what it takes to mentally tough out five sets of tennis.
