By turning the round nut on the bottom of the pendelum you can speed up or slow down the time.1 complete turn = 1 minute per week..what you are doing is raising or lowering the weight on the regulator.

I think my wife brought home a Verichron 31 day clock. We hung it and started the pendulem and it ticked for 2 minutes and stopped. We did this a few days then I got the bright idea to level the clock. This is day 21 and it is still ticking and chimming great. If you have the same problem, try leveling the clock, If this clock is ticking 12 days from now, it is a 400 day clock. That would be cool
