Verison told me that it only sent the first 160 characters??? ?

So I sent this text but now I'm not sure that it sent the whole thing... it says it sent the first 160 characters in plain text wtf does that mean

  1. SMS messages are limited to 160 characters across all carriers worldwide.  That is part of the standard.  If you send a message longer than 160 characters, most newer phones split the message up and send it in multiple pieces (1/3  2/3  3/3 for example).

    "plain text" just means unformatted text.  For example, if you bolded something or underlined something, that formatting is stripped from the message.
