Verizon FiOs vs. cable???

the only thing i care about is internet speed. Is Fios faster than roadrunner cable service on timewarner cable? I heard it's 5 times faster, yet my friend got it and it sucked.

  1. you can get upto 30/5 with cable...

    with fios you can get 20/20 but it is like 2 or 3 times more expensive then cable...  


  2. FiOS is the fastest thing going, but it is pricey and not available yet in all areas.  Cable is fast enough for most purposes.

Not sure how fast Roadrunner is but I get something like 15mbps down & 2.1mbps up.  Can download stuff at almost 2 megabytes per second (~1.8) and upload stuff at about ~180kilobytes / second.  A lot better than our old verizon DSL that downloaded at 80kilobytes/second lol.  So I think I have the cheapest package.  No one in the house has had problems with it since we got it.  The speeds are pretty d**n fast for what I use it for & it is reliable I'm not a wild child with the internet or anything.  Hope this helps
