Verizon Fiber Optics?

Question

Can anyone tell me what kind of service they have from Verizon Optics phone and computer installation...Is it a problem or is it great?

i was reading up alot about this...

there dynamic DNS seems to change IP addresses VERY frequently (some claiming over 30-40 times a day) causing problems with many internet applications like VoIP services and online gaming...

the "fastest internet service available" is deceptive. the fastest tier of service available by fios is equal to the fastest tier of service provided by cable companies 30/5 and the cable offering for these speeds is cheaper then fios...

it has the potential to be great.... but 1-its Verizon... and 2-its brand new.. they still need to work out the kinks..

also, you can not host a web server with Fios unless you get a business package with static ip, which is extremely expensive (2 to 3 times more then basic service) cable allows you to host a web server with the 30/5 package

They have fairly decent service speeds are quite good but the way they make it sound is over rated because they use the same wiring thats already in your home but all in all great service and fairly decent prices

well its great, depending on what are you are in, its the cheapest to bundle everything into one package...you get internet, tv and dsl for one low price. Fios is very low maintenance...and copper is just about obsolete. I work for verizon repair (copper) and its nothing but problems. Copper lines get wet and chewed on by squirrels, and because fiber is in your area, they might not make that big of an effort to make the repairs necessary.
