Verizon Wireless Cell Phone Upgrade?

I have a Verizon Wireless account. I am not eligible to upgrade this year but my wife is. Can I order the new phone on her upgrade for the discounted price and then when it is activated take it into a store and switch them? Is this possible, or is there a better way? Thanks in advance.

I think that should work, talk to the salesman when upgrading your wife's phone!!!

1. order the phone from your wife's account

2. once you receive it activate it.

3. call verizon to switch phones

4. there will be a charge to switch the phones. to activate my phone it was 20 dollars.
