Ok so I'm thinking of getting the Verizon Wireless Q. Someone told me if you get a PDA, Smart-phone, or Blackberry you have to pay 30 dollars a month is that true? And what PDAs, Smart-phones, or Blackberry's do you suggest?

  1. The extra monthly cost is the data plan. The primary advantage of a PDA, Smartphone or Blackberry is it's ability to access email and the internet, but this requires a data plan.

PDA's and Smartphones don't REQUIRE a data plan, but they are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED if you plan to use email or the internet. If you don't have a data plan, Verizon will charge you by the kilobyte...which gets expensive VERY quickly. Blackberries always require a data plan...or at least they used to.

Data plans generally average $40 more per month than a voice-only plan on Verizon. Look on the Verizon website for more details.

  2. They have different plans especially fit for smart phones and Blackberry's.  The typical one involves unlimited internet, 1000 anytime minutes, and so many texts.  That usually goes for around $90 before taxes.  It should come out to about $120 per phone.  You can see if they'll add another line for cheaper.  Good luck.

  3. ya cuz you need the data plan if your using the internet and all that buisness stuff
