Verizon and calls from Iraq...?

My husband is deploying and while he is in Iraq is it going to raise my bill by him calling me from there? I don't have a land line only a cell. If he calls from the phones the army provides in Iraq will verizon charge me for getting incoming calls from an international number?

No, you are not charged anything additional to receive a long distance or international call--  only to place a long distance or international call.  The minutes will be deducted from your normal minutes bucket on your plan as long as these are incoming calls only.
