  1. there is no reason for them to maintain incoming call logs there are no charges associated with incoming calls, so what would the purpose of them wasting resources on maintaining records of these type of calls...

the only time a detailed record of incoming and outgoing calls is kept, is when there is a court order for a pen register to be placed on the line..

i would block all anon callers first by dialing *77

if they still called, then i would dial, *57 just after they called (but before the next call) this will put a call trace on there line, and can be used for legal purposes - for more info on call trace call 1-877-trace-4-u

  2. yes it costs like 5 bucks or something but you can get a list of numbers if you call the customer service and request it.

  3. All phone service providers have a "Database" of "all" incoming and outgoing calls, to and from their customer phone accounts.  It's called a CDR - Call Detail Record.

Verizon just isn't giving you access to those records and is charging you to look-up the numbers that have called you.

I subscribe to various VoIP services.  I am able to self-administer much of my account through web account portals.  These account portals allow me to see my CDR.  The CDR shows all calls into my account number(s) and outgoing from my account number(s).  Very useful information for substantiating when, from who and to who calls have been made to and from (at least by DID's using caller-ID info and by dates and times).
