Verizon cancellation question?

when i first signed up with verizon i got the basic 450 minute plan for just myself for $39.99/mo.

then i decided i would be nice and help a family member out by switching to a family plan (1 additional line) for $69.99/mo.

this person is not paying me so i want to cancel that extra line and go back to my basic individual plan that i originally had. i signed up for a 2 year contract in february and added that other line in march.

do you know how much it will cost to cancel that line and keep my line? and do you know if you have to pay it all upfront or if you can make payments? thanks!!!

YES I KNOW. IT WILL COST $275, PLUS TAXES. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. IF YOU PAY $20 A MONTH FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS IT WILL STILL BE CHEAPER. ACTUALLY, IT WOULD BE BETTER TO CANCEL IT BECAUSE YOU SHOULD TEACH THAT FAMILY MEMBER A LESSON
