Verizon cell phone help?

My phone is screwed up i think, anytime I try to call someone it says welcome to america roaming network, what does that mean?

My mom wont take it in to get it fixed so i was hoping someone would know on here

  1. this could get complicated, need to know what type of phone you have to help with menu settings and such. a general location of where you're using the phone could help too but I understand if you don't want to post that info.

  2. When it says America Roaming Network its means that it thinks that you are roaming to a different area like for example you are from the US and then you roam to Asia. When you roam it has charges to it. You better check your phone bills and if there okay.........get a new phone.

  3. Are you living in the the area code 714? I know that happens starting from couple days ago for people living in this area. It's because they just added a new area code within the 714. So, before dialing any number from now on, you have to dial the area code as well. Hope this helps!
