Verizon dsl free upgrade???????????

is it true that Verizon dsl customers are getting a free upgrade to fios for the same price as the dsl!!!

i pay 20$per month for DSL and a lady said she came from verizon and said that they are upgrading the dsl service to fios for the same price as dsl, she said i would pay 20$ per month for fios and we would get a free wireless router?????

is that true??????????????

That is difficult to answer because it all depends on what options you choose to order.

You have your land line options such as caller id, call waiting, call forwarding etc...

You have your different Internet speeds of 10/2, 20/5, 20/20, & 50/20

You also have the different STB (set top box) options of HD, HD DVR, Std, Std DVR. Along with viewing options of multi room, HD, and don't forget about the movie/sport/foreign language packages.

You can also bundle in your cell phone plans too.

I suppose that if you stayed w/ your current landline options and  up/down load speed and didn't order the video portion it would be possible.  I would call customer service and double check.  Get the service reps name and number for reference.  IF it was a door to door salesperson beware because they are private contractors that get paid by the order.  I am sorry to say that they will say anything to get the sale.  When one came to my door trying to sell me, (I played along) the info they gave me was all wrong and they try to get you to sign right there and then.  I asked many question to which he had no answer, and the ones he did were straight out lies.  When I told him I was a installer of the FIOS he appologized and went to no other homes on my street.
