http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002 has gone on to dismiss any rumours which claim that he is seriously injured, as he has admitted there is nothing to worry about.
The centre back suffered a very nasty fall in the Gunners game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, but it seems like he merely suffered a slight knock to his leg, as opposed to him being injured seriously.
Vermaelen was spotted supporting support for his leg at a training session for the Belgian national team, which is when all these rumours started to pick up pace.
However, the centre back has gone on to quickly ridicule these claims and rumours, as he insisted he can’t wait to get back on the pitch for Arsenal, once the international break comes to an end.
"It is fine, it just my ankle from last week - but it is okay," he said in a recent interview.
At this point in time, Arsenal are the only Premier League team to have not conceded a single goal in the three games that they have played this season.
The team went on to play out goal less draws against Sunderland and Stoke City, before they went on to beat Liverpool by two goals to nil.
These results were applauded by critics and the clubs fans, but Vermaelen feels that Steve Bould deserves some of the applause.
The assistant manager has gone on to help shape up the team’s leaky defensive line and the work he seems to have done with the team, is rather outstanding to say the least.
When talking about the club’s new assistant manager and the way he has changed things at the back for the club, the team’s captain is reported to have said: "He is our assistant now and has a lot of experience at a high level with Arsenal. We work a lot
on our defensive play and you can see that with our three clean sheets"
Nonetheless, it is now going to be a wait for the international break to come to an end, in order for the club’s fans to see their team playing once again.
