Arsenal’s captain and  Belgian international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002 has gone on to admit that the Gunners are looking forward to their game against Manchester City, because of the form that the team has shown in recent weeks.
So far this season, the team has not gone on to lose a single game, and even went on to win their opening game in the Champions League.
What has really stood out for the team this season, has been their defence, which has looked a lot more solid and sturdy, then it did in recent years.
Despite losing in the same fixture against City last season, this time around it seems like the team is high on confidence and can’t wait to get things underway against the reigning champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
"If we stay focused, confident and play our own game then we can get a result [against City]," Vermaelen said in a recent interview.
"We have to keep on playing like we are. The second half was not great [against Montpellier] but we had some good performances like, for example, on Saturday."

The Gunners captain then went on to talk about the game against Montpellier, as he had a number of issues with the way the team played in the second half.
Vermaelen feels the team could have had a much better start to the second half, and that would have made things a lot easier for him and the rest of the team.
"In the second half we were not great," he continued. "In these kind of situations [a narrow lead] you have to stay calm and make sure you don't concede a goal, which we did but the team performance was not great.”
He also went on to talk about the penalty incident, as he is not really certain if that was a penalty or not.
"I didn't think it was a penalty, maybe I'll have to see [the replays] back. Maybe I should not have gone for the challenge but I was 100 per cent sure I could win the ball."
The North London club will now have to put in their best, as they take on City this coming weekend in the Premier League.
