Arsenal’s defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002 has gone on to admit that Steve Bould has been helping the team out quite a bit in training and thinks that the squad has learned a great deal from the assistant manager.
Bould, who was a former defender himself went on to replace Pat Rice as Arsenal’s assistant manager at the end of the previous season.
His exploits with Arsenal in the past helped him win three league titles, two FA Cups and one Winners’ Cup.
Based on his experience and past achievements, Vermaelen feels that he is a very worth component of the team.
“Steve is really good to work with, especially for defenders as he has been a defender himself,” Vermaelen told Arsenal Player.
“He knows what it is all about and gives us a lot of tips. He works a lot on the shape of the team and that is very important, so I am very happy he came to work with the first team.”
“He is very focused on details. A lot of players, because we are getting older, we know how to play. But he looks at details and the shape of your body and to be honest I am learning a lot from him.”
Bould has been helping the team’s defence get into shape and often takes part in their training activities.
Given his experience, his involvement could prove to be crucial to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 winning a trophy or two this coming season.
The Gunners haven’t been able to win a trophy in the last seven years and their leaky defence has been one of the primary reasons behind this.
However, based on the progress that the team has been making and based on how Vermaelen feels about Bould’s involvement with the team, things could get a whole lot better for the team in the coming months.
They have gone on to add a number of players to the squad and should they be able to maintain a strong footing in their back line, they could easily go on and win a trophy or two this coming season.
It is now a wait to see just how the team performs with the help of Bould.
