It has been confirmed by Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger that the Gunners will be in the transfer market, searching for a central defender in order to overcome their defensive problems.
Arsenal’s defensive leader, Thomas Vermaelen is out of action since late August. The Frenchman said, "We are consulting top specialists around the world. He has another check today, and we will know more on Wednesday. Unfortunately I can't give you any precise date, but I concede that, with this little setback from Thomas, we are in
a situation where we will have to look around."
