Question:

Versions of MSN messenger to use on windows 2000?

I have windows 2000, i want to use a different version of messenger besides 7.0 and 7.5 (from mess.be). Like 8.1 or 8.0 but that is for windows XP/Vista, the person who made the 7.5 for windows 2000 on mess.be made it possible, so is it possible to use 8.1/8.0 on windows 2000? without getting the "your system doesn't meet the requirements to use this program please upgrade or WHATEVER" i don't like 7.0 or 7.5 they suck, the main reason i want 8.1/8.0 is because of the animated koi fish swimming around in the background of the conversations :P.. 7.0/7.5 doesn't have that, which sucks...cause it's so cool & cute... so any help? please & thank you.

  1. Hi, well  MSN 8.0 and 8.1 and 8.5 Beta cant work with windows 2000, u should have XP or Vista, and I dont think that there is a way to make it work on windows 2000 cuz its not compatible with it, cuz it depends on the Windows system files and even if u copy the needed files from Windows XP and pasted it into windows 2000 it wont work also, so I'm really sorry but there is no way except installing windows XP or Vista, I'll try to see if I can find a way for u and I'll let u know about the Updates

Take care and have a nice day, best wishes and gd luck

if u ever needed any help or anything just feel free to contact me at anytime .

    Best of Luck
