Vertical Yellow Line on Left Side of Picture

Question

Seems like a lot of people are having issues with this set. Of course, mine is now out of warranty and am curious about this problem. The TV worked fine and then one day, a vertical yellow line appeared on the left side of the picture about 6" from the edge of the screen. Any thoughts to the problem at hand and is this worth the money to get it fixed. Or am I better off just getting a new set and learning my lesson? Thanks for your advice.
