Question:

Vertical lines in video background

I have a LCD 40 inch ULTRA LCD HD model LC40-500 with several wide vertical lines in the video background when viewing dvd, vga, tv or cable. It's not their in standby mode or when off. Is this fixable and/or a manufactured problem ?
