Ajax’s defender, Vertonghen has gone on to admit that he is not sure what team he will be joining, while claiming that Tottenham Hotspur weren’t his only option.
Tottenham have gone on to open talks for the capture of the Ajax defender, but at the moment, the defender is still looking to consider his options before he ends up deciding just where to end up.
When talking about the offer from Tottenham, the defender is quoted to have said: "I have to make a choice. There's something going on with Tottenham, but there are more clubs interested in signing me"
He then went on to talk about just what he expected to get from his new club and the various other teams that were also looking to make a move for him, which left him wondering just where he could potentially end up.
"The most important thing for me is that I get regular playing time. Plus I need a stable environment.”

Tottenham’s Rafael Van Der Vaart has gone on to urge the Ajax player to make the move to the White Hart Lane, since he believes he would be an ideal fit in the team.

However, with City still being the team that can spend the most cash on any potential transfer, it is going to go down to just where the defender wants to end up.
