What is the easiest way to overcome an OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) without medication?..

  1. Well, to get over it is that you have to face the problem. Even though this sounds retarted its true if you face it then OCD goes away, tht simple


  2. its not easy (trust me i used to have OCD)  try and remember that every time you do one of your "rituals" your just making your ocd stronger- there really is no easy way to overcome it so if your ocd is severe or if your an adult you should definitely get treatment- if in your teens or younger you might grow out of it overtime but treatment would make your life so much easier

  3. Get some behavioral therapy that will gradually help you overcome this. You don't need medication, just some training and, if you make a good effort, you will succeed in conquering this. You have a good attitude already and you want to beat it

  4. Find things that help you relax. i play online games with my headset, cuz it really calms me down and makes me happy playing with other people, laughing, and joking. Exercizing helps me too, cuz then im to tired to get everything at the perfect angle! lol

  5. if depends on how severe your disorder is.

    if it is relatively mild and most of your obsessons/compulsions do not interfere too badly in your life, then you might be able to help yourself.it might help if you cut caffeine out of your diet and took steps towards reducing stress in your life (organize your life better).

    also, if it is an option, see a psychologist rather than a psychiatrist--they don't push drugs as hard as psychiatrists.

  6. Its not a disorder if you can use it productively. Howard Hughes, although living an eccentric lifestyle, managed to make billlions; and he had OCD.
