Very Small Reception / Meal with Gparents?

Question

We are getting married abroad, and our grandparents won't be able to travel with us for health reason.

We would like to do something special for them, take the out for a meal and give them a thank you gift

Considering taking them to The Ritz, but me and my nan have already been..... any other locations?? London or Leicester

Thinking of getting a photo of us on the wedding day, getting it enlarged and framing it??? Any other ideas?

TAKE them to the Ritz

your nan would be comfortable having been there before

and remember it's YOUR big day so don't worry to much about other people, even if they are family.

Answering your questions in two parts.

1) take them to a restaurant that you know they enjoy and that has special significance to them. maybe where they had an anniversary or b'day party or where they got engaged.

2) if the budget will allow, hire a professional videographer to record the wedding and present them with a copy.

i would recommend going to Gordon Ramsay @ Claridges, probably not as pricey as the Ritz but way better

You could go to the Ritz, but you could also try Claridges.  And how about doing a champagne afternoon tea instead of dinner?  You have to get all dressed up and it makes it quite special.  You could also try the Orangery at Kensington Palace for lunch or tea.  

I think the framed photo is a lovely idea, but if you really want to push the boat out, get a photo of your grandparents in their finery and have them photoshopped in to one of your wedding photos so it really looks like they're there.
