out little boy will be 14 weeks old on Friday....he's very active...loves trying his best to sit up without help...loves rolling over etc....he currently sleeps in a cradle...but as past few nights...he wakes up, kicks off all blankets....moves up the cot in an attempt to sit up and ends up banging his head off the bars trying to roll over etc!! But of course we aren't allowed to put a bumper on....any suggestions? Thanks.

  1. I know they say not to put the bumper pad on, but I had to because my poor baby kept hitting her head.  I heard that as long as the baby knows how to roll over, they should be able to move if they can't breathe because of the bumper pad.  It is scary though due to SIDS.  Good luck!

  2. Try to find bar covers. No complete covers..

  3. We use a sleeping bag for our little one. It's very light weight and it means she can't kick it off. It also means she's less disturbed during the night because she doesn't get cold. You sure have a very active baby in your hand there.

PS You just got Best Answer for one of my questions. Thanks.

  4. baby sleep sack is what you need. i have the same problem.

  5. some kids are v.active its good.my son was like this too,try putting him to sleep on bed that is low sothat he will not get hurt if he falls

  6. They have breathable bumper pads that you can put on.  We actually had the same problem but we put bumper pads on (I know difference of opinion), good luck our daughter was like that and started crawling at 4 months.  We had a monitor that detected if baby was breathing or not so that helped with the bumper situation; I didn't want her to end up with a head injury either because she hit pretty hard a couple of times.
