Very confused... am I pregnant or not?

I had unprotected s*x (first time, spur of the moment, I know I was stupid) exactly 4 weeks ago to the day, halfway through my cycle. The next day, I went and got plan B and took it 20 hours after the s*x. I also started taking Marvelon 28 on the following Sunday. We have had a few accidents with condoms since then (slipping off). I have been on the sugar pills for 4 days, and last night we were rather.... vigorous. I had been suspecting I might be pregnant as well (sore b*****s mostly) so I took a test right after getting busy (negative). I started to bleed lightly after s*x, and have been bleeding lightly on and off since then. Normally my period is really heavy and makes me throw up several times, so I'm a bit freaked out. I took the second test this morning, negative again. Am I pregnant, or just having a weird period because it's my first month on the pill?

Also, is it safe for us to not use a condom now? The condom troubles got really frustrating (too big, too small, too thick)

  1. It could be your pill messing up your cycle...that's more then likely the issue you're having. Its never safe to not use a condom...nothing is 100% effective...

  2. I have had swollen sore b*****s from taking a new type of pill especially for the first month. Periods can be wacky as well! I don't think you are pregnant. I think in a couple months your body will settle down and act normal except your periods will probably always be lighter now and you won't have as harsh symptoms as you are used to.

If you are still wondering wait till the end of your next cycle and if your period is still strange and you want to get some good answers, I would suggest you go to your doctor and maybe have a blood pregnancy test done, just to be 100% safe and to put your mind at ease.

But as I said I think that you are fine.

    Hope I helped

  3. Sorry, but it's really impossible for us to know if you're pregnant or not. I suggest that you take a pregnancy test or better yet, get a blood test to find out.

Make sure you use back up protection when starting the pill - they say one month, but I'd do two months to be 'better safe than sorry'. If you don't like condoms, get spermicide, use the rhythm method, the pull out method, etc. There are plenty of ways to avoid pregnancy. It's actually a great idea to always USE two different types of protection in my mind.

*EDIT* I'm sorry - but I thought you DID ask us if we thought you were pregnant or not. "Am I pregnant, or just having a weird period because it's my first month on the pill?"

  4. take a test to find out if your pregnant. its that simple

  5. You don't learn, do you?  If you don't want to be pregnant badly enough to take Plan B, then you ought to pay a little more attention to your birth control.  The pill is not effective for the first month, and condoms are not effective if they're constantly falling off.  If you really don't want a baby, wait until you've been on the pill for at least a month and find a condom that works for you.

  6. Got to the doctor so you can be 100% sure.....spotting can occur from taking the Plan B.  USE CONDOMS if you arent ready to get pregnant(even though they do suck).  STDS suck even more
