  1. I use Tears Naturale II and I'm happy with that, although I use them for contacts and do not have dry eyes.

Your problem sounds like it might be caused by the excessive use of the computer screen where your eyes don't blink often enough to keep wet. One thing you could try is to lower the resolution on your monitor, and/or make the font larger.

  2. Drink more water, and omega 3 oil is helpful. Get mercury free and keep in mind fish oil is a blood thinner.  I take it myself.

Blinking helps, and heres a site I go to.  http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions...

You know those sleeping masks, they help keep eyes lubricated while sleeping.  I hate when there's low humidity, that's really a problem.

  3. I have very severe chronic dry eye. Aside from making modifications in my life like wearing moisture chamber glasses, using humidifiers, redirecting the air conditioner, and doing warm compresses, I use eye drops.

If you're going to be buying drops from a drug store, buy preservative free vials. Until you have a decent knowledge of the different preservatives and can make an informed choice to use some preservatives in specific situations, preservative free is the safest option- not 'preservative free in the eye' but 'preservative free single use vials'

There are several options- bion tears is usually liked, some people love systane while otherrs loathe it, and for some, celluvisc might provide the night-time protection that other drops don't.

Personally, I use a drop called 'dwelle' which cannot be purchased in drug stores- it is sold online ( dryeyeshop.com )

    or over the phone (877-693-7939)

For me, using dwelle not only allowed me to about half my daily applications of eye drops, it has allowed me much greater levels of control over my symptoms. My dry eye may be chronic, but with dwelle, it feels more -managed- too, which I didn't get while using preservative free drug store drops.

If you have more questions (or just want to connect) I suggest heading over to http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/ - there's a whole lot of experienced folks who've lived with dry eye for a very long time.

  4. Hi

Try the Optrex range there are some for dry eyes.

Otherwise ask the chemist for some with hypromellose, they are false tears which will keep your eyes moist.

    Regards

    Andy
