In the State of Oregon at what age can a child legally decide which parent they wish to reside with?

I've heard age 10, age 11, age 12.

I know that it is younger than 18.

Please help if you can. This is very important. Almost an emergency.

Also please provide your source if possible. Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

  1. There is no age at which a minor has absolute power to choose which parent to live with. Custody decisions are always based on the best interest of the child, for which the child's preference is taken into consideration.
