the immortal bushi comes back to my field when i have no monsters and d. hero fear monger special summons a monsters and they both activate during my stand by phase so im wondering which activates first?.

You choose the ORDER of the chain. That means, you choose whatever card effect to activate first, then that card effect will activate afterwards.

Eg:



D-Hero Fear Monger and Immortal Bushi activates. The chain is decided by you, so you pick which card effect you activate first. You choose to activate Fear Monger's effect first and then Immortal Bushi second.

Chain Link 1 = Fear Monger.

Chain Link 2 = Immortal Bushi.

Then resolve.



Chain Link 2 = Immortal Bushi, you Special Summon Immortal Bushi.

Chain Link 1 = Fear Monger, you Special Summon Destiny Hero - Disk Commander on the field.

The same is applied to when you have two Wave Motion Cannon on your side of the field, or Nightmare Wheel with Solemn Wishes, etc.
