Very pregnant cat please help

hi i have a cat that i took in 5 weeks ago when i got her home the last owner phoned me and told me that they thought she was pragnant and that if she was shed be 4 weeks gone. so now shes 9 weeks gone today and no signs of labour should i be worried?

  1. Don't worry. Cats can be pregnant for more than ten weeks. 9 weeks is a guideline used as it sounds similar to our "9 months", just like with humans this can be less or more.

    If you're worried then take her to the vet. It will set your mind at ease and they can give you advicxe on caring for a pregnant kitty and the newborns when they arrive.


  2. No . Donot worry Cats are capable of looking after them selves, wit out any help.  

  3. is she showing signs of being pregnant. a cats gestation period is between 63 and 70 days so right now i wouldnt worry she is just in the area of time that the kittens could be born at any time and the mama will know what to do although it would be nice for you to be there when she has them just in case she needs help.
