Very simple accounting

Question

can someone please suggest some software i can use for VERY VERY simple accounting. something for like a small local business, like less than 30 clients? anything comes to mind, except of course the well known ones like quicken, and peachtree. simple overfloated for big businesses

linux would be a bonus but not necessary probably run it inside windows, dont care about cost either

It is one of the well-known ones, but Quickbooks has a "Simple Start" version that is free and is very easy to use.  It basically helps you track money in and money out, without worrying about complex accounting.

It has the extra benefit that if you grow & need a stronger accounting program, it's easy to upgrade to one of their other versions.
