Very small contacts lense stuck in eye?

Question

i had on colored contacts on and a really tiny piece is stuck behind my left eye.. its like a little clear piece at the edge of a contact

will it do any damage?

how can i get it out?

And i cant go to a doctor i have no insurance.

PLEASE HELPP!!

whether you have insurance or not is not importand. The most important is take that tiny piece out. If you don't, maybe there will be imflammation that slowly damage your eyes. So It cost more than having no insurance. Go to doctor now.

it's not behind ur eye..it may feel like it.. but it's not... .. .. so it's only above or below... just really deep... rub the top until you feel it.. rub it and bring it all the way down...

Feel where it is with a finger over top of the closed lid. Once you have the location then see if you can push it with the eye still closed into the open; open the eye and "look away" to give you plenty of white eye to deal with. Look for a tip of the folded lens to nab with a fingertip and slide it out. Use drops if things get to dry.

then look down

but when you do this

open the top&& bottom

eyelids with your fingers

as wide as you can get them

then it should fall out

This has happened to me LOADS of times. It can hurt. A LOT. So I sympathise! Try and look in the direction the lens has gone (this can hurt) and blink lots. Do this over the sink with the plug in so you don't lose your lens as it may flip out at this point. You need to make your eye moist so if blinking doesn't work try dripping saline solution or comfort drops in and try again. If the lens still doesn't move back or flip out then you might have to try manually moving it.

Still looking in the direction the lens has gone, take a clean finger and gently push your eyelid in the opposite direction. You may be able to feel your lens through your eyelid (it depends what type you have). This should either cause the lens to move back into position or will cause it to flip out.

Try to look into a mirror with your other eye whilst you do this so you can see where your lost lens is at. If you can move it to a position where you can see the edge then you can take a clean finger on your other hand and either gently drag it the rest of the way or, if you can pinch your eyelid around it (soft lenses only), you can grab it and pluck it off your eye.

The trick to remember is that your lenses are hydrophilic - they like the wet. They tend to get stuck more if your eyes are dry so it's a lot easier to get them moving again if you wet your eyes and the fingers you use. Beware of using tap water other than to wash your hands though - wet your fingers with saline or comfort drops. DON'T touch near your eyes with your cleansing solution if it contains peroxide as it will burn your eyes!!

Just make sure that you keep your head over the sink otherwise you'll end up crawling around trying to find the lens that's flipped onto the floor and that's no fun when you can't see a darn thing!
