Very very scared?

i have to have my 2 front teeth out i have a gun abcess and gum disease and i never had a tooth out before and i have to have novacaine i am so scared what can i expect and how painful is it going to be i heard the front teeth hurt really bad my dentist doesnt put you out for extraction and i suffer from extreme anxiety i get heart palpatations and the shakes i am scared of having an allergic reacction to the novacaine and the pain of pulling my 2 teeth out

I had 2 teeth pulled 2 weeks go and then 2 more teeh pulled 4 days later. I had 4 first premolars pulled. (the fourth tooth from your center teeth)

first your dentist will put a gel on your gums and he will probably ask what flavor. he asked me if i wanted bubble gum, pina coolata, or banana. if you dont like any of the flavors he asks, ask for mint. (if you're a kid. if you're an adult he will probably give you mint) then you bite into this thing for maybe 1-2 minutes. it doesnt hurt, but its a little uncomfortable.

in total he inserted about 6 shots. 12 shots in total of my 2 visits. they do not hurt! if it hurts in any way, it just feels like someone is pulling on ONE strand of your hair. i felt that pain once in each appointment.

in the first appointment my dentist gave me one shot then he told me to rinse. so one at a time. but my second one he gave me like 2 shots, told me to rinse, then like 4 shots before i got to rinse again. i srsly wanted to DIE at this part, because the novacaine tastes HORRIBLE! you can feel it run down you throat and it makes you want to gag.

then he has pliers. a specific one for your top teeth and one for your bottom. he wiggles like crazy. no, it does not hurt AT ALL. seriously. but there is a lot of pressure. like 7 out of 10 id the amount of pressure you feel, and 0 out of 10 is the pain you feel.

i actually did not notice him pull them off. he was like "are you ready for me to pull?"

and i said "mhmm."

and he said "i already took them off."

haha it was so funny. and he tricked me during EACH appointment... LOL i got tricked twice!

after he pulls them he asks if you wana keep them. i said YES. he puts gauze in your gum (like a cotton thingy) where your teeh got pulled and you have to change it every hour (or until it gets soaked with blood.) honestly this was my least favorite part, because cotton in my mouth makes me want to gag and you cant put your tongue next to it because it tastes like cotton and blood! (gee i wonder why, lol)

i reccomend you eat soft icecream, pudding, and yogurt for 2 1/2 to 3 days.

if you have an abcess and gum disease you will definately be in better shape AFTER the dentist visit....

I've gad 20 teeth pulled and I still have to have my wisdom teeth taken out next year.  Getting teeth pulled is really not that bad.  They only thing that really hurt was when they shot the Novocaine in.  It that didn't really hurt it just burned a little.  You are really going to be fine.  If I could last through 8 being pulled once and then 8 more and then 4 permanent teeth then you should be fine.  Maybe ask your dentist if you can a take a relaxer.  For one of my extractions I had to take a pill before that helped me not remember anything.

I had my frotn 2 teeth taken out when i was like 9 0r 10. Don't worry you can't even feel it when they use the novacaine!!
