  1. Could she have ingested something from your room? beads? plants?

Also - cooking with teflon pans can be lethal to some birds. The coating gives off a fume that can be deadly. Were you cooking a steak in another room?

  2. i am so sorry for your loss.

i love budgies and it upsets me to think of mine dying.

dont let it get you down.

  3. I would say your bird flew into something and has seriously injured herself.  This is why I do not encourage people to let their birds fly around the house.  She could have internal injuries or broken something.  She needs to see a vet ASAP.  It does not have to be an avian vet, a regular vet is perfectly capable of treating her.  If she was having a seizure, it could mean damage to nerves, or a head injury.  Yes, she could very easily die.  Please read my profile.

  4. Sorry to about your bird but what has happened is that she has collided with something ie .window or mirror or even a wall.

Young birds are very excitable like small children and she has flown into something more than likely hitting her head causing brain damage or even dislocating her neck and I am sorry to say that there was nothing you or a vet could have done

  5. i'm so sorry to hear about your bird.  i'm not so experienced with keeping birds, i've not long acquired canaries, however, i do keep them well away from any cooking areas, as the other posted said, fumes from cooking and utensils can be lethal.  other than that, perhaps she has injured herself while out of the cage?  try an avian vet, only they can give you a decent answer. sorry.
