Vespa or Lambretta?

For a UK beginner on a CBT so 125cc only. Are they pretty much the same scooter (is it only the styling that's really different) or is there more to it?

Cheers!

  1. Both are equally $hit, designed to be ridden by women.

Iike the comment on the Norton 750- I have one.

  2. One sounds like a wasp in a jam-jar, the other like a bee in a milk-bottle.

    Go for a Norton 750.

  3. Lambretta has not been in production for 37 years.  ie the technology at best is 37 years old.  vespa are still in production and have all the modern extras.  what my personal opinion about each bike or bikes in general is of course irrelevant, your question states your a CBT so 125cc and a beginner so my suggestion would have to be a vespa to start with and then what ever you wish there after.   as far as the rest of the comments go no comment?????

  4. the lamb is bad in the wet the back end can go out,

    pk ves well cool

    regards x kitti x

  5. Ask a Lambretta owner and they will tell you what c**p a Vespa is. Ask a Vespa owner and they will tell you what c**p a Lambretta is.  Ask anyone else and they probably dont know as they probably have not ridden both - or not for many years anyway.

As both manufacturers have been making scooters for over 40 years you can take it as gospel that they both know what they are doing and a model from either would give you good service.
