  1. Any animal has the potential to cause some harm, in one way or another. But that is one of the reasons why vets and their staff learn about restraining techniques. Animals aren't willing to stay still during procedures unlike humans.

    Continue researching both careers (look for info on the web and check around Y!A for some related questions).

    See about job shadowing both and/or working/volunteering at a Vet clinic or Doctor's office.

    Either job will require lots of schooling, good grades, and a lot of math & sciences. And I've heard that Vet School is harder to get into than Med School.
