  1. good question

it actually depends.some people call vets as "Dr."...like Dr.Quackquack or Dr.s****....something like that

but on a more accurate term, it should be "vet".like Vet Pooky or Vet Klengkleng.

becuase,a vet studies a different kind of medicine field from doctors.a doctor studies "human" Medicine but vets study Veterinary Medcine.it is just like with nurses,a qualified nurse cannot be called as a "doctor".

♦with different fields, come different names given to people.if you study architecture, then you are called an "architect".

♦if you study culinary art, then you are called a "chef".

♦if you study biology, then you are a biologist.

so if you study veterinary science, then you are called a "veterinarian"

    have a nice day.good question,by the way.

  2. Usually a veterinarian is addressed as Dr. Philips or Dr. Smith (what ever his or her name is)

Vets go to school for about as long as human doctors do. They learn the disease processes for animals. They also learn how the health of animals affects human health.

Their degree is Doctor of Veternay Medicine. (Usually...I guess there are other titles/degrees according to the school or licensing) The doctor is a DVM...not a PhD.  (This applies to the United States)

  3. it all depends on where you live to what they get called. Generally it is Dr, but some country's it is just Mr..... or Mrs...... or what ever. having the title os vet is what they are not their name title. Usually vets will introduce them selves by their first names to make you feel More comfortable but you should always call them but Dr.... or Mr...Mrs...

  4. vets will usually just want to be called by their first names

  5. I think it's just doctor.

They normally have a phD, which makes them a doctor.

For example, Ross from FRIENDS is a doctor of dinosaurs, and he's technically a doctor, even though he's not actually got any sort of medical degree, human or not.

  6. Interesting! All my vets are addressed by their first names. For example they'll ring me and say "Hi, it's Rebecca from XXXX vets, just to say ....." and so on! That's the same with all the different practices I use (one for dog, one for horses, one for goats and one for our lab who is on referral to a dermatologist) lol
