  1. If its a mild problem, and you can take the horse to the vet that can often save around $100. Most of my vet bills are around $230 for something fairly mild needing meds (all up meds included).

  2. Like everyone else said: routine shots or colic surgery? Will range.

Call your vet and ask. =]

  3. It all depends what you are having done could be from $100 tho thousands and it never has anything to do with he size of the horse it's what procedure is being done.

  4. That is an open question that depends on services rendered:

Vaccinations:  West Nile, Rabies, Rhino, Etc..

    Teeth need to be floated?

    Worming?

    X-rays for some lamness symptoms?

    If breeding mare then Ultrasound

  5. For what aliment?

    For a vet check?

    Coggins?

    Vaccination?

    Laminitis?

    Colic?

    Preg-check?

There are many different things that can cause a vet bill, and every one will cost different. And the cost will very to your area, and vet. The cost will very from $45 all the way to several thousand dollars.

  6. What are you having done? Your best bet would be to call local equine vets. Make sure you find out what the fee is for the farm call.

  7. Well you will probably need all its shots.

Fluvac EWT can run around $20 +

    Coggins test $20 +

    West Nile - $20 +

    Rabies - $20 +

If you plan to breed the mare it would mean more shots and more cost period.

I would say that if the animal is perfectly healthy then I would estimate on the safe side around $100 - $150.

Of course horses dont like to stay healthy for too long so plan for more

  8. Depends on what needs done. It could range from anywhere from $100 to a couple hundred.

  9. Is this for a routine vet procedure?  You'll have the charge for that plus the barn call unless you  haul into your vet clinic.   If any medicines are given there'll be a charge for them.

You really need to be more specific as to why you might have the vet out...plus charges can be much more in different parts of the country.  You need to tell us approximately where you are....north, south, central, ne, nw, etc.

  10. It really depends on what your having done. I would guess from 70-160 US dollars.

    =D

  11. depends, it could be a basic vet check for 100-200 bucks, or if the horse is injured/needing help upwards of 1,000 up. my horse for his injury only costed us 5,000 just for the sugery. (talk bout not so fun times, the whole check they did  to find out what was wrong was just 1,000)

it all depends what needs done and checked.

so i'm not really sure what number to give you. say between 100-5,000.

  12. it depends on where you live call your vet and ask i think it changes for fall and spring because you need different shots for the spring and fall
