Vet technician training?

This is a strange question to ask but i am looking for any information regarding vet technician training in the usa. I am currently qualified as a veterinary nurse in the uk (similar job i think). I have beentn working in practice for around 9 years and during this time i have gained mucvaluablele experienceMyMy partner and i have been discussing moving to the states, we havent decided where which probably makes this question more difficult as I am aware each state g#has different qualifications. Any info about your technician training would be gratefully received.

The link above will help you get started on your journey to becoming a Certified (or Licensed or Registered, depending on the state) Veterinary Technician in the US.  It talks about what being a vet tech is, and there's a link that directs you to "AVMA accredited programs".  Depending on what kind of training you got in the UK, some programs may allow you to transfer some of your credits.

Be aware that Veterinary Technicans and Veterinary Assistants are NOT the same thing.
