Veteran pitcher Jamie Moyer still feels like playing – MLB Update
Current Colorado Rockies and former Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher, Jamie Moyer still feels like playing further even at the age of 49. Moyer, who is going to be 50 this year, has still great plans for his future despite receiving little criticism from media as he must retire now.
Many have already started speculations when this Spring Training had begun, but not only he answered back, but he also explained all these buzz creators that why he still feels young and why wants to continue his game.
Moyer recently has said after the game against San Francisco Giants, “I still believe I can do this. Now, after having the surgery, it’s kind of like proving something to myself. Can I still go out and run around with these kids and compete? I think I can. But, you know, this spring will determine that.”
Moyer added, “I don’t really view this as a pressure situation because I feel like I’ve come to spring training every year in my career fighting, Because once you get into the season, that’s what you’re doing.”
According to his late statement in the media, this is fairly a good sign for the Rockies on another perspective. This is a possibility that Moyer might think for another year with the Rockies franchise which will help both sides on an even basis.
Though last year, Moyer did some baseball analysis programme with a renowned sports television channel, but this year, he once again showing some desperation to do well with the ball. He signed with the Rockies and is now planning to stay committed until the season starts.
Practicing hard in Arizona, Moyer, with the new franchise is feeling a new beginning. He did well in the last game against the San Francisco Giants and pitched two scoreless innings striking-out one of the ace players of Giants, Chris Stewart. In the meanwhile, Moyer and Rockies rest entire roster are preparing hard ahead of next season and if they stayed resolute for the next competition, the results will follow.
