Veteran starter Andy Pettitte could agree on a one year contract with New York Yankees – MLB Update
Veteran Major League Baseball starting pitcher and New York Yankees' ace Andy Pettitte might sign a one year contract in the range of $10 to $12 million.
Sources have told some reliable media people that both sides will agree on a mutual understanding soon. Yankees' management has not still decided over Pettitte’s final salary as they are waiting for the Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings that will be held in Nashville from coming Monday.
“I feel good, I’m looking forward to it, obviously. I don’t know what to say other than I’m looking forward to going out there and pitching.” Pettitte said in the past and explained about his potential comeback in the Yankees' roster.
Pettitte added and explained further, “I could probably say when I came back, I thought there was no chance, But with getting hurt and only having 60 innings right now and hoping to have a couple hundred innings under your belt, it definitely gives me the option to consider coming back again next year, that’s for sure.”
New York Yankees are confused at the moment as they have to deal with two players at the same time. Mariano Rivera is also on their wish list.

Meanwhile, Andy Pettitte with a 16-year Major League experience is also considered one of the most coveted players in recent history.
He played in the 2012 MLB season with 2.87 ERA along with 5-4 win-loss, 69 strike-outs and 1.14 WHIP. While his career 3.86 ERA along with 245-142 win-loss, 2320 strike-outs and 1.35 WHIP also makes him a desirable player in the entire league.
