Veterans vs. Rookies?

Why is it when Junior or any of the other veteran type drivers (Jeff, Tony, Jimmie, etc) if they are having trouble with a car and falling back to fifth they are struggling but if it is a rookie or someone who normally doesn't run well and falls back to 5th they are doing amazing?

  1. The answer is in your question lol. It's because those guys don't normally run up there. Guys like Stewart, Johnson, and Gordon are past champions and have more wins than a lot of these rookies have starts. They are expected to run up front and when they don't there's usually a reason.

  2. Because it further proves that even when Jr has the best car and setup on the track he still can't win, and young guys like Allmendinger have been kicking his @ss lately in lesser equipment.

  3. Mostly it's the commentators trying to feel smart and intelligent and it's not working....lol

Anytime a driver does something that is not the usual, they will mention it. Good or bad.
