Yesterday saw history in the making as Sebastian Vettel won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, becoming the youngest victor in the
Drivers World Champion. Where all his opponents failed, he managed to take the checkered flag, in his Renault F1.Big guns like Lewis Hamilton, finished
second,10.1 seconds behind his teammate Jenson Button who came third with eleven seconds behind. Sebastian Vettel tightened the s***w on championship leader, Fernando Alonso, by securing top position on Saturday for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which marks the
end of the
Championship season. Due to this Alonso had to attain a top two position in order to confirm a championship designation. From the start, it was plain to see that Vettel would be victorious. Mark Webber pitted early on, followed by Ferrari and Alonso on lap
15.It was hard work for both Alonso and Webber to
wriggle their way to the top after their respective pit stops, giving Vettel his fifth win of the championship season and
Red Bull’s ninth. Alonso was leading the Championship ratings, before the start of the race but the title was still reachable between Alonso, Webber, Vettel and Hamilton. And then the unimaginable happened. Vettlel drove meticulously, timing his twists and
turns to sheer
excellence .Although he trailed Alonso by 15 points in the positions, yet Vettel made the impossible, possible.
At just a tender age of 23-years, Sebastian Vettel has become youngest Title Holder in Grand Prix history.. "We've seen an
incredible tight (championship), I don't know how many times we've had a different leader,"
Vettel said. "In the beginning we thought Ferrari's dropping back, but they fought back very hard. All of us can write a book about where we could have finished higher in races." "It's been extremely intense, and a tough season mentally.”
Sebastian Vettel has brought about a new perspective to this sport. He has proved that big things come in small packages, and that age is just a number. He has
demonstrated that anything is possible and that young, emerging talent can always stir things up.
