Vettel hopes to see an even better season ahead with new Pirelli tyres

The new F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel considers the Pirelli tyres ‘better than expected’ as all the racing teams had their first experience with the new rubber during the two day test in Abu Dhabi last Friday and Saturday.
After the last race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, teams gathered at the Yas Marina Circuit again to undergo the first test with the new tyres. The Italian firm Pirelli has been signed to be the sole supplier of rubbers
to all the teams starting from the 2011 season opener, the Bahrain Grand prix, scheduled to take place next March.
Before their entrance into the sport, Bridgestone had been the tyre providers to Formula One. The Japanese company has stayed with the sport for the past 16 years while the last 4 seasons saw them as the sole supplier to all the
teams throughout the season.
Now, as the teams collect data for the new tyres, Vettel revealed that he went out for the test very neutral, without being optimistic or pessimistic about the switch of the tyres. However, as he returned from the tests he said
he was pretty impressed and is looking forward for an even stronger season next year.
"We have had two busy days on track, getting our first impressions of the new tyres, analysing how they perform and looking at some things for next year. There is still a lot to do, but I think the tyres are already better than
expected," the Red Bull driver said while talking to the media earlier today.
The German further revealed that Red Bull had collected some very useful data from the initial sessions for their development work. He believes that the Championship winning team would come up with an even stronger car next season
and both the team drivers, Vettel and Mark Webber are also going to be very strong.
"Since February we haven't really had time to do any in-depth testing on track, so these two days have given us a chance to reflect on things we have tried during the season," Vettel concluded.
The team has had a brilliant 2010 season which has brought home both the Driver’s and Constructor’s titles and only in the teams sixth racing season.
The team boss, Christian Horner, who stands as the youngest team Principal in Formula One said that the team is ready to return next season with a renewed and stronger fighting spirit.
