VfB Stuttgart defender Matthieu Delpierre strongly linked with a move to Juventus
According to reports in Germany, VfB Stuttgart defender, Matthieu Delpierre may join Serie A side Juventus this summer. The 29-year-old is under contract at Stuttgart until 2012. However, with VfB’s survival in top flight German football looking very uncertain, the Frenchman may seek a move elsewhere. The French defender has been at Stuttgart since 2004 and won the Bundesliga with the club in the 2006/07 season.

It has also been rumoured that a fee in the region of 5 million Euros may be enough for Juventus to acquire Delpierre’s services.
Delpierre started his professional football career at Ligue 1 outfit LOSC Lille and earned his first professional contract in 1999. Even though Delpierre made limited appearances for the club, he was instrumental in Lille’s promotion to Ligue 1.
